Searching for stats, I found some figures about jokes at the Laugh Labmebeli. Take a look there to find out about the jokes research done worldwide by Professor Richard Wiseman.

Six years ago, on March 25, 2002, Internet World Stats began publishing the worldwide Internet usage statistics. It started as a hobby, but today it is a full time job for me. In those six years I have seen a lot of websites come and go in this field of market research. To celebrate the anniversary, you can look at a video showing what people thought about the Internet back in 1995. Another nice thing to do on this anniversary is to go to the Internet Archive Wayback Machine and see how the IWS website looked back in 2002. If you are curious and look around, you will find lots of old Internet statistics not available in other places. Enjoy.
